Alan Grayson to introduce Paid Vacation Act
Rep. Alan Grayson was standing in the middle of Disney World when it hit him: What Americans really need is a week of paid vacation.
So on Thursday, the Florida Democrat will introduce the Paid Vacation Act — legislation that would be the first to make paid vacation time a requirement under federal law.
The bill would require companies with more than 100 employees to offer a week of paid vacation for both full-time and part-time employees after they’ve put in a year on the job. Three years after the effective date of the law, those same companies would be required to provide two weeks of paid vacation, and companies with 50 or more employees would have to provide one week.
The fuckwittery of the political class (and their dimwitted supporters) continues....

Hillary Clinton is now, always has been, and forever will be: a lying, corrupt, dimwitted little skidmark on the underwear of humanity.

via AP:
Clinton urged a quick resolution to a dispute over Mexican trucks entering the United States, saying both sides need to ensure that traffic across the border is safe and legal.
"We (in the U.S.) can worry about what's coming north, but Mexican people are worried about what's coming south: assault weapons, bazookas, grenades," she said. "
Bazookas? Grenades? Gimme a fuckin' break.

The joys of censorship
"The Western democracies, and in particularly the U.S.A, discovered communal values afresh in the 1930s after the capitalist beast was again unshackled and allowed to run amok (released by yet another generation of wild-eyed economic right-wingers who believed in the mythical “free market” the way 4-year-old girls believe in fairies).
And it looks—after the last spectacular round of suicidal libertarian bed-shitting—that we’re about to discover those values again. Let’s hope."
---Steven Wells, The Philadelphia Weekly
And then proceed to censor the comments of those who call them on their bullshit?
What's wrong, Mr. Wells? Are you quite aware that you're completely full of shit?
Is that why you refused to print my comment?
Just in case it may have slipped your mind, here's a screenshot of my comment as submitted:

Yes, censorship has become so common over the past few weeks that I'm now starting to take screenshots in order to keep track.

Rahm Emanuel: If you are on No Fly List, no gun for you.
Lots of people have been talking about stocking up on guns, gold, food, etc. over the past few months. Good advice- but there are a couple of items that may be very useful in the not too distant future that I have yet to see show up on anyone's prep list.
Anybody know where I can get a good deal on a tar pot and a few gunny sacks full of dirty chicken feathers?

Pending Gun Control / 2nd Amendment specific Legislation: The Good, the Bad, and the Butt Ugly.
Alright, as anyone with more than 3 functioning brain cells already knows, the fuckwittery of the Bush Administration has encouraged the dumbest 20% of Americans* to saddle the remaining 80% of the population with a Democratic Socialist** majority in both the House and the Senate- that- combined with an incoming president who seems to have a raging woody for the failed policies of FDR- virtually guarantees that stupidity and ignorance will reign supreme on Capitol Hill for at least the next 4 years.
Predictably enough, that means that one of the major items on the agenda (second only to thoroughly fucking up what's left of a once-vibrant economy) is the attempted nullification of the rights that were supposed to be unconditionally protected under the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
With that in mind, I bring you a brief roundup of the firearms legislation that has been thus far introduced in the current session of the House & Senate:
First, the good:
HR 17 "Citizens' Self-Defense Act of 2009"
Sponsor: Roscoe G. Bartlett
To protect the right to obtain firearms for security, and to use firearms in defense of self, family, or home, and to provide for the enforcement of such right.
The bad:
S 205: A bill to authorize additional resources to identify and eliminate illicit sources of firearms smuggled into Mexico for use by violent drug trafficking organizations, and for other purposes.Sponsor: Jeff Bingaman
Co-Sponsors:
Sen Durbin, Richard [IL] - 1/12/2009
Sen Feinstein, Dianne [CA] - 1/12/2009
Sen Hutchison, Kay Bailey [TX] - 1/12/2009
Sen Kyl, Jon [AZ] - 1/12/2009
Sen McCain, John [AZ] - 1/12/2009
Then the fuckin' butt-ugly:
HR 45 Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009To provide for the implementation of a system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system for those firearms, and for other purposes.
Sponsor: Bobby L. Rush
Interesting times, indeed.

D.C. tightens gun rules after court ruling
This quote from Councilwoman Mary Cheh pretty much puts their whole fuckwitterey into perspective:
“No constitutional right is absolute, nor is this right to possess a gun in the home for self defense."
What part of "shall not be infringed" don't these fuctards understand?

TSA screener caught stealing $200K worth of items from passenger's luggage.
"As a screener at Newark Liberty International Airport, Pythias Brown was supposed to keep deadly objects off airplanes. But for the past year, authorities allege, Brown has been swiping electronic equipment from luggage of the passengers he was supposed to protect. A laptop here, a cell phone there. Within months, he had snatched more than 100 items, authorities say."
