Quote of the day

"I don’t feel safe with a bunch of cops on the street. I feel the opposite. I think that would be like being occupied by a bunch of Redcoats in colonial times or British soldiers in Scottish villages in the time of William Wallace. We don’t need “standing armies” in our cities. I want to the ability to strap my gun to my hip and to take care of myself. I want the men of the community to take some responsibility for policing the streets with a knowledge and appreciation of due process. I want real self-governance, not the fake kind where we delegate our security to tax munching, trough-feeding minions of unions to whom we are all dirt and “officer safety” is paramount.
I’m getting really radical in my old age."

DHS thugs brag about stealing cash, guns and reloading supplies

And just who, exactly, are the real terrorists?
-
Note that the described activities took place on US soil.
Note also that none of the stolen confiscated items are illegal- not even the money.
Not yet, anyway.
Both articles mention heightened awareness and a boost in readiness.
Imagine that.

DHS press release 11Mar09:
"A trio of weapons seizures in Arizona and Texas this week highlight the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) heightened emphasis on tracking and intercepting illegal guns and ammunition near the U.S.-Mexico border under Secretary Janet Napolitano."

DHS press release 3Mar09:
"A recent batch of large-scale cash seizures near the U.S.-Mexico border demonstrates a boost in readiness and attention to money trafficking activities in response to the current drug war raging in Mexico, a major priority for U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano."

I wonder how Al Gore and his acolytes will respond to this?
